What We Believe
(Condensed from our Confession of Faith)
1. God is the living God of creation, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who speaks to us through the Holy Scriptures.
2. God calls all persons through His Holy Spirit, but made humanity with freewill in that human beings may choose to accept or reject God’s love, grace and mercy.
3. God, through His Son Jesus Christ, who was both fully human and fully divine, acts to reconcile humanity to Himself through Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection.
4. God, through His grace and love, acts through the power of the Holy Spirit to call every person to repentance and faith in His Son Jesus Christ and lovingly awaits our response to His offer of salvation and eternal life.
5. The Church is the body of Christ and Jesus is the head. It is comprised of a covenant community of believers who are subject to the discipline of the church in keeping with our Confession of Faith and the Holy Scriptures. The church meets corporately to worship God, share the blessings of the sacraments of baptism and communion, and actively engages in mission to the world.
6. Christians live in the world as witnesses to the Good News of God's grace in Jesus Christ. Believers are saved by grace through faith which produces desires to do good works that honor and glorify God.
7. God promises that all believers can live confidently in His promise that in death, the whole person is raised to live in the presence of God forever.
