Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County
Mission: A private non-profit assistance ministry serving the emergency needs of people in Loudon County. “We are the hands that distribute what the hearts of the Loudon County community provides.”
Most of us already know someone or a family experiencing poverty at some level. Poverty has many faces: loss of job, repossessed auto, house foreclosure, inability to pay utility bills, or buy prescription drugs.
Neighbor Aid Program:
Heads of household are having to make hard choices such as, Do I buy food for my family or pay the utility bill? Good Samaritan sees this dilemma daily as people struggle to survive. Please help us to help others. The numbers of poor are rising in our county every day.
Through the generosity of the Loudon Utilities Board and the Lenoir City Utilities Board there is a program (Neighbor Aid) designed to help those who are about to lose their electric service. This program allows all of us to help. You can donate each month when you pay your electric bill.
EACH DOLLAR THAT YOU DONATE IS MATCHED BY THE UTILITY COMPANY.
